Surly's Long Haul Trucker enjoys a reputation as one of the best riding and most value-packed touring bikes out there. It's been around long enough to be tested in the real world, in all kinds of places, with all kinds of loads on all kinds of roads. Sometimes, however, a combination of load, climate and terrain demands a bit more braking performance than a standard rim-brake LHT can provide. That's where the Disc Trucker comes in. Disc Trucker is a Long Haul Trucker specifically designed for the unique forces discs impose. Surly made sure it can run discs, racks, and fenders with no jury rigging, a somewhat unique feature they've just now decided to call Simulpatibility. It's a tool designed from the ground up to take you and a bunch of stuff just about anywhere you'd like to go. It is a tool to help you get lost and find yourself.

What happens when you put a mountain bike, road bike, and touring bike in a blender and hit go? The Sutra. Beefier tires make rough terrain disappear, and there’s just something really special about the feel of a steel frame in motion. The Sutra LTD offers style, an incredible ride, and amazing handling in one gorgeous package.

Did someone say Fun Bike Project? Did someone say inexpensive belt-drive bike? Now you can build up your own disc-brake, belt-drive bike without spending very much at all. The Cadent frame can be built up almost any way you like: belt/singlespeed, belt/internal gearing, chain/singlespeed, chain/internal gearing, or (with an available derailleur hanger) chain/conventional derailleur. Drop bars can be used instead but will affect handling and body position a bit--remember drop bars will effectively lengthen the cockpit, so you may want to downsize if you're geometrically on the fence. The Cadent i8 frame has a basic road geometry but is designed for flat or swept-back handlebars. It excels as a speedy around-town bike but can be used for much more. Constructed of AL-6061 custom-formed butted alloy tubing with a seatstay splitter (so the belt can go in) and an eccentric bottom bracket shell. Carbon fork with alloy steerer. Includes a quick-release seatpost collar and a headset. Does not include a bottom bracket. Room for tires up to about 36mm. Fender and rack mounts. Belt guard can be removed. This frame is notably lighter than the beefy Raleigh Misceo i8 framesets that we also have, and of course the carbon fork is much lighter than the Misceo's steel fork. These frames are new but were assembled into complete bikes at the factory before we got them.
When is a 'cross bike more than a 'cross bike? When it's All-City's race-course-blasting, dirt-road-ripping, commute-crushing Macho Man Disc. The proven 612 Select cross frame and fork has disc tabs that allow for incredible, all-weather stopping power. It sports classic, hand-built frame details such as: a custom head badge, bi-plane lugged fork crown, internal top tube cable routing, signature brazed-on seat collar, signature vertical dropouts, and a custom bottom bracket. All-City sized the smaller frames to fit 650B wheels. Finishing touches include a rust-fighting ED coating, reinforced bottle cage bosses, and hidden fender mounts for those less than perfect training rides and trips downtown. The result is a favorite with the cross crowd, trail riders, gravel racers, and commuters.
650b what? In the old days when randonneuring bikes ruled on long rides over mixed surfaces, the 650b tire size was perfectly suited for moving fast under control. Surly took this concept and applied it to the Straggler, a disc brake-equipped any-road type of bike bred from their revered Cross Check. The slightly smaller wheels accommodate smaller frame sizes and plump tire widths, creating options where few exist in this realm of riding. Make it your gravel explorer on weekends, your trusty commuter during the week, and go collect all the hand-ups when cyclocross season rolls around. This Straggler's lookin' for a good time and you seem like the type to oblige.
To brake or to disc brake? The debate isn't getting any colder and Surly decided it's best to let you choose. Straggler is bred from Surly's revered rim-brake Cross Check and comes out a lot the same, but also a little different with disc brakes being the obvious change. Frame geometry is pretty close, and you get all the attachment provisions for racks, fenders, and bottle cages that make these bikes something more utilitarian than a standard 'cross racer. Make it your gravel explorer on weekends, your trusty commuter during the week, and go collect all the hand-ups when cyclocross season rolls around. This Straggler's lookin' for a good time and you seem like the type to oblige.

Even if you own a different bike for everything, it's still necessary to have one that can do it all. That bike is the Space Horse. It's become a cult favorite because of its classic styling and ability to handle just about any task or terrain. All-City's Space Horse Disc frameset allows you to build your perfect bike with the addition of all-weather control disc brakes. The geometry is a mix of traditional road and randonneur, with a relatively short rear end and a bottom bracket that’s slightly lower than a standard road bike. This gives it both agile handling for riding unbridled and increased stability when loaded. This blend of geometry and 612 Select tubing create a bike that is capable of quick road centuries, gravel racing, commuting, and of course loaded touring. The frame accommodates front and rear racks, fenders, and tires up to 42c in size for the 700c bikes and 45c for the 650B version. It also utilizes a dropout with a replaceable derailleur hanger. All of the classic All-City touches are present: signature brazed-on seat collar, pantographed bottom bracket shell, pump peg, reinforcements on the bottle bosses, and a beautiful lugged crown fork. The fork sports both a double eyelet on the dropout and mid-blade mounts to allow you to use pretty much whatever front rack you wish.
The Space Horse frameset is the most versatile model in the All-City line. It was designed to accommodate front and rear racks and fenders. It can be built geared or single and has clearance for large 42c tires. The geometry is a mix of traditional road and randonneur geos with a relatively short rear end and a bottom bracket that’s lower than a road bike. This gives the bike agile handling and increased stability when loaded. The lower BB also helps you descend gravel roads like a champ. Its load capacity is 30lbs in the rear and 20lbs in the front. These numbers allowed All-City to choose tubing that is stiff enough to handle a multi-week excursion, yet still rides beautifully and comfortably for unloaded road and gravel adventures. One of the coolest aspects of the Space Horse project was All-City's improvement upon existing semi-horizontal dropouts (the traditional dropout for a bike of this style). The small tab on the front of the dropout in combination with the adjustment screw means that the wheel is fixed in place like a vertical dropout system. You’ll never have to wonder where to get the best shifting. Simply place the wheel fully forward in the dropout and you're done. Its 612 Select frame features the AC custom head badge, brazed-on signature seat collar, signature semi-horizontal dropouts, and custom bottom bracket. There are double eyelets on the dropout, mid-blade mounts on the fork and reinforcements on the bottle bosses. They've also included a pump peg and internal top tube cable routing. Finish it off with an E.D. coating for rust prevention and All-City's beautiful wet paint.
The Thunderdome is All-City's UCI-approved fire-breathing, track-racing monster! It was designed to do only one thing: go fast! From the distance events to the sprints, the T-Dome has proved itself on the boards of velodromes across the country. Because All-City loves the classics, it boasts traditional round-profile tubing, beautifully polished aluminum sections, replaceable stainless-steel axle pads, a carbon fork, our custom headtube badge and a classic 1 1/8” headtube. It fits a 700 x 25c tire, and the fork is drilled to accept a brake.
