This is a frameset that can be ridden hard and put away wet. We use Tange tubing because it’s got a heritage of quality and a responsive feel. We know that the everyday cyclist needs a bike they can count on, day in and day out. From there we offered a bike that everyone could get behind: a solid platform for a multitude of fixed and single-speed builds. The beauty of the frame for us is that it keeps the track spirit, yet has never limited itself. The latest update is tweaked to fit fatter tires in case you want to try to track across. It also has an anti-rust coating on the interior of the tubes. If you choose to put brakes on, get the 57mm reach, not 49mm. We no longer have a 61cm size, but we have re-designed our smallest size with a sloping top tube to fit shorter riders. The new Ascent is more adaptable than ever. The frame is TIG-welded with heat-treated, triple-butted Ritchey Logic steel tubing that features rack and fender mounts and a multi-purpose mount under the downtube, while a new Ritchey steel fork offers up multi-purpose, rack, fender and dynamo light mounts. Other notable features of the new Ritchey Ascent include post-mount brake compatibility, 148mm spacing and an external seat collar. Throw a mountain bike bar on it and some 27.5" wheels for more trail-oriented adventures. Or ride it with drop bars and 29" wheels for some longer distance rough road riding. Straggler is a bikepacking-inspired road/gravel bike mostly at home on pavement but ready for trail duty when called. Born on Gravel. Raised on Pavement Straggler is tuned for cross-over exploration on a wide variety of terrain conditions. It's a day-tripper and a weekender. It's a "rough road" road bike, a cyclocross bike with no pretense about racing, a utilitarian townie, a light-duty touring bike and an all-weather commuter. It's a steel gravel bicycle that thrives on the road. Think of it as a "mountain biker's road bike." If you only have room for one bike in your life, Straggler can (and should) be your one and only. Straggler's capabilities go well beyond asphalt. It also lends itself well to light touring setups. We're talking frame bags, seat bags, and "credit card touring" rather than full-blown touring.
