Children will love the fit and look of Lazer's Nut'z helmet, and parents will love the MIPS protection that absorbs more rotational energy than traditional helmets. It sports Lazer's easy-to-adjust Autofit system, their popular pinch-free Magic Buckle, 16 large vents to keep the air flowing, and a built-in visor to keep the sun out of their eyes.

- Optional: The Crazy Nutshell technology makes it possible to snap on 4 different covers (each sold separately) onto the helmet. That way your kid can be a fireman first and an astronaut the next day.

MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) is a revolutionary technology, providing protection with respect to angled impacts.

MIPS is a patented protection system and comes from years of studying the human brain. The brain is surrounded by cerebrospinal fluid that protects it by allowing it to slide when exposed to an angled impact. Mimicking the cerebrospinal fluid, MIPS creates a sliding layer between the helmet and the head. This reduces the rotational force otherwise transmitted to the brain. The combination of the brain’s own protection and MIPS provides better protection from angled impacts. MIPS can be utilized in any helmet and does not interfere or take away from any other technical features, safety aspects, comfort or design.

MIPS was developed by some of the world’s leading researchers in biomechanics and neuroscience at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. The result is helmets offering enhanced safety and protection from rotational forces to the brain

Conventional helmet testing is done by dropping them vertically onto a flat surface. MIPS is designed for reality, reflecting how most accidents occur, with angled impacts to the head. By using the low friction layer, MIPS can absorb more of the energy from an angled blow to the head.

Lazer and MIPS have been partners since 2013 and colaborated on the first ever inmolded helmet that featured the technology, the Lazer P'Nut MIPS helmet. Since then the MIPS system has been available throughout the Lazer range.

Look for the yellow MIPS logo on the helmets to ensure that you are wearing a helmet with MIPS technology!

How do you make the best helmet retention system in the world even better? Make it even easier to use. that's exactly what we did with the Autofit system, exclusively from Lazer Sport.

How does it work?

Based on the incredible Rollsys system, but even easier to operate, the Autofit system eliminates any need to manually adjust the helmet retention. As a fully integrated system, totally invisible from the outside of the helmet, the Autofit system connects the rear basket and the front head belt of the retention system and puts a constant and even tension between these two components. To put the helmet on, simply pull the rear basket and the head belt away from each other, put the helmet on your head and the Autofit system will automatically tighten itself around your head for an optimal fit each and every time!

The patent-pending technology of the Autofit system is designed to provide equal and constant pressure without discomfort. Regardless of head size or shape, Autofit will adjust automatically and provide a secure yet comfortable fit.

Made for simplicity

The easy operation of the Autofit system makes it perfect for use in certain types of helmets. The helmet will always have a perfect fit without the need for any additional adjustments. You will save time, energy and frustration while still providing safe and reliable head protection. A comfortable helmet that fits perfectly every time you put it on. The Autofit system exclusively from Lazer Sport.

The adjustable head basket allows the back part of the rollsys system (that grips the back of the head) to move up and down depending on the riders preference. This way the Rollsys system can be adjusted even more to individual rider needs and can create even more comfort.
