    Comments:

I've owned not one, but two PowerBeam Pro trainers since 2013 and they have been fantastic and rock solid. They both work well with third party apps like TrainerRoad, Peripedal, Golden Cheetah, PerfPro, CycleOps Virtual Training and of course the latest craze in indoor cycling.....Zwift. My only gripe with this trainer is it is a bit slow to react to grade changes on programs like Virtual Training and Zwift, but it still gives the user a great workout and realistic riding experience.

I use my Power Beam on Zwift and find it very easy to use and has increased my cycling experience by improving my fitness and time on the bike. The resistance on climbing sections is great to really give you a work out and help with pace setting on climbs using the power meter this has given me some great new PB's on local hills and overall speed is up through better pacing.

One of the smoothest smart trainers made. Durable frame and accurate power. Have owned 2 yrs and still performs like new. Some uneven wear on the power cylinder from the tire, but has not to the point to impact performance. Since I assume this is aluminum or light alloy it can wear. One improvement I suggest is a harder steal / alloy. Otherwise good quality and performance so far. There are lots of options for smart trainers these days and I purchased the powerbeam pro because of the sturdy frame. Happy with my purchase. PS Also own a Fluid Plus which is great to travel with.

        Comments:

I don't have tons of time in the week to train, so to get 10-12hrs in each week the only way to do it is on the trainer, and this unit has met all of my needs. It's sturdy and just what I need. It integrated seamlessly with Zwift (my primary training software) as well as the test drive of VirtualTraining. The only issue I had was one instance of my power data going a bit crazy during a single session. However, I put in a support request and within a day I received a very personalized email with very specific instructions on what to try. Problem solved. The customer support person even followed up a day later to check to see if it was still working. That's a nice touch. i did enjoy VirtualTraining, but I knew I wouldn't use both services and I preferred the experience of Zwift.

Had the powerbeam pro ant+ trainer for approx 3 years now. Easy to set up. Use it with powercal heart rate monitor and Trainerroad and Swift, can honestly say that it was worth every penny

            Comments:

I bought the ANT+ version of the Power Beam Pro Trainer with the Joule GPS+ head unit to replace a Tacx Vortex. The Tacx drove my wife crazy with the noise (a constant whine that amplified with wheel speed). One year later, this CycleOps Powerbeam pro is still quiet and the Go To trainer in my opinion for those who want power in their indoor training. Maybe the Magnus has many of the features and is cheaper but I love this trainer (to the extent you can love a trainer; you know what I mean)
