Soma Stanyan

The Stanyan is lugged road sport frame in Tange Prestige heat-treated CrMo steel. This is a great choice for the century rider and light tourer who appreciates a more traditional look. Like most Soma frames, it’s ready for fenders and racks.
(Formerly the ‘Speedster’ . Stanyan is named after a street in SF, that used to have upwards of 7 bike shops in 4 block section)

• Lugged Tange Prestige heat-treated butted CrMo steel; butted CrMo rear end (On 52cm frames the seat tube/seatstay juncture is welded)

• Road sport geometry

• Polished stainless steel headtube lugs

• Rear rack & fender mounts

• Includes Tange lugged crown steel fork with fork tip eyelets (Black with chromed crown)

• Two sets of water bottle bosses

• Fender mounts at bridge and at dropout

• 1-1/8″ size headtube

• 27.2mm seatpost size

• Max tire size: 32c

• Requires 57mm reach road brakes

• 5 sizes: 52cm to 60cm

The Stanyan is currently available by prepaid special order only, and is sold as either a frameset or as a Joe Bike custom build. Price for frameset without build: $699. If you have Joe Bike do the build, we credit you $100 off the frame price. Typical complete builds range from $1200-2200, depending on how crazy you get.
