Sale: for the rest of May, the Twin City is marked down to $859 from $995. Both the stepover and step-through versions. Discount applies to in-stock bikes only. The 2013 Civia Twin City 7-speed is the bike complete: it comes with color-matched fenders, chain guard, rear rack, and front basket. A sturdy dual kickstand. A rainproof 7-speed internally geared hub. A rainproof and powerful rear roller brake. All those things together make this a surprisingly good value at $995.
If you’d like a more classic look, the grips and saddle can be changed to a classy Brooks saddle and some leather grips.
The Twin City is brought to you by Minneapolis-based Civia Cycles.
We have the Twin City in two versions: a stepthrough and a stepover. Both feature elegant twin top tubes that are a characteristic of mixte frames. This design gives you better lateral stiffness for a more responsive, tighter ride from a relatively light frame compared to a traditional stepthrough, while still offering a low stepover height for the kilted or skirted among us, and they give a bike an elegance that nothing else quite does. Like the Birdie, the Twin City has a high-quality look and feel. It’s made of cromoly steel, which is more comfortable and sort of more personable than aluminum, and includes a color-coordinated rear rack (that’s welded to the frame, no less), a chainguard, and a kickstand. The Shimano 7-speed hub is known around the world for its good deeds delivered smoothly for many years. The gears and their grease stay safely inside the can. Color-matched Civia fenders are available but cost extra.
The Twin City arrives in our showroom in late February. The small fits people from 5’0 to 5’4″, the medium 5’4″ to 5’11″, the large 5’10+. There’s an XL in the stepover version, available on request.
