Why choose a Mundo over an XtraCycle kit? The Mundo’s single-piece, purpose-built frame is inherently stronger and more stable then a bolted-together, two-piece substitute. Though we endorse the pioneering XtraCycle products for riders carrying less than about 70 lbs. of cargo or passengers, we sell a lot more Mundos than XtraCycle conversions. Why? Here’s what can happen when you load 150 lbs. of stuff on a bike with an XtraCycle Free Radical conversion and roll over, say, a bump in the road. You may have to replay it a few times, but watch the lateral flex that leads to a loss of control, and you’ll see what we mean.
NEW 2010 v3 Mundo framesets are available for $675 (fork included) and can be sold as-is or built up in the shop to your spec. Please call us at 503 232-1107.
