Portland Bike Rentals

This could be you.

There's no better way to experience Portland than on a bike.

We're in the heart of Southeast, along one of the city's most popular bike boulevards and right in between Division Ave. and Hawthorne Blvd. Take a leisurely, stress-free ride ride downtown via the car-free Tillikum Bridge or Hawthorne Bridge. Or enjoy a little climbing, some fun descents, and maybe a picnic at Mt. Tabor, our friendly neighborhood volcano, just a mile away. Or relax and meander your way through the jogging and biking throngs on the Esplanade adjacent to downtown. If you continue north, you can cruise up Mississippi Ave. over to Alberta St. and points beyond, or check out the mighty Columbia River. Take yourself on a tour of Portland's famous foodcarts, brewpubs, and coffee shops. Or succumb to rampant materialism with a visit Northwest Portland and the Pearl District. We're happy to give you suggestions, like where we locals hang out...and we'll always give you the bike-friendliest of directions.

City Bikes

We rent out comfortable yet spirited city bikes like the Marin Fairfax SC4 Belt (shown at bottom). It features a belt instead of a chain, so you'll never have to worry about a greasy steel chain chewing on your clothes. The seating position is moderately upright. The brakes are hydraulic disc for superior stopping power, and the gearing is ample for Portland's various ups and downs.

We equip each bike with:

  • Full fenders
  • A rear rack (with panniers upon request)
  • A U-lock
  • Front and rear lights
  • A copy of the Bike There! map

Is this bike not for you? Do you want something that can be ridden more aggressively? Or something with a stepthrough frame? Let us know!

For those who enjoy a  stepthrough frame, we have the Torker Graduate Mixtie (yes, Torker spells Mixte that way). It comes with everything the Fairfax does, but it has a traditional chain/derailleur drivetrain. This bike is extra comfortable, without being stodgy.

Terms And Conditions

One-day rentals are available as soon as we open for the day (9 am on weekdays, 10 am on weekends) and must be returned by closing time (6 pm, 7 days a week). Valid driver's license, credit card, and signed waiver required with all rentals. We will need to take a deposit (cash or credit card) for the full retail price of the bike. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the undamaged bike. Have fun, but please don't abuse our rentals because you are accountable for any damage to the equipment! Although the Marin Fairfax SC4 Belt and Torker Graduate Mixte are our designated rental bikes, it may be necessary to rent you a similar or better model if supplies are limited. We'll do our best to notify you in advance or accommodate you with substitutions. If you find the bike you chose isn't the right size for you, we'll make every effort to provide you one that fits.
