Who are we? Meet the Joe Bike staff.
Welcome to our staff bio page. Pretty soon we’ll have photos up as well, but until then:
Meet Joe. Joe started Joe Bike in November of 2008. Since then, he’s explored affordable city and commute bicycles, as well as a variety of cargo- and child-carrying bikes and accessories. He’s a CX enthusiast, has a couple of dogs, and does yoga whenever he can.
Tess is the current store manager. She grew up in Eugene, where her dad owned a bike shop. When she turned 11, they took the summer and rode across the country on a tandem recumbent, from Eugene OR to Boston MA. She worked for the Bike Gallery for 6 years as a mechanic, and is now enjoying the opportunity to explore a smaller store and more responsibility. She’s getting married in May and is ordering a tandem of her own for the honeymoon tour of Oregon.
Jeff is a certified race mechanic, and will be spending parts of his summer being flown around to different championship events in Europe. He’s expanded his two-wheeled stable to include motorcycles as well.
Joey worked for a shop in South Carolina, with a personal interest in commuting, touring, internal-geared hubs, and dynamo light systems. He also keeps a personal blog of his own touring experience and travels.
Adam has worked for Joe Bike since the early days, and has wrenching experience from the bike co-op on campus as well as what he’s picked up on the job here.
And on the fabrication side of things is Morgan, who comes to us from Bike Friday and Co-Motion, who is prototyping our new in-house utility frame designs. Working with him is framebuilder Tyson, who also has his own company, Civilian Bikes. Keep an eye out for the new bikes at PedalNation’s Bike Show coming up in April. Exciting things are afoot!
